The 200 Series Color Shinkansen (E2 Series) and E3 Shinkansen commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Tohoku and Joetsu-Shinkansen started in a double set of Plarail.
The E2 Shinkansen reproduces the coloring of the "200 Series Shinkansen" at the time of the Tohoku and Joetsue Shinkansen has recreated the "Komachi" at the time of the Akita Shinkansen started.
